This house, which has one of the most beautiful views of the Bosphorus on the backs of Kanlıca, has a history of 120 years. The roof of the house, which is accepted as a 2nd degree historical monument today, was designed as an example of Swiss mountain architecture. It is a house designed as a summer mansion for the General Manager of the Maritime Operations under its current name, the ‘Şirket-i Hayriye’. Öney couple bought this place in 1973 and restored it. There has been no major change in the exterior of the house, which was renovated by staying true to its original state. The tower of the house, which was flying only in a big storm, was rebuilt according to its original form. In the interiors, some walls were built in accordance with the family's private life and the door places were opened. The old hall in the middle of the house was expanded and included in the hall. The historical texture of the house for over a century has been preserved in its original form until today, despite minor changes. Covering an area of 180 m2 on a wide area of 2000 m2, the house consists of three floors. The garden has a multi-storey structure due to the gradual structure of the land. The kitchen designed separately from the main building in the garden of the house was moved into the house during the restoration works. This building was used as a warehouse in its original form and a swimming pool was built in the area in front of it. The terrace in front of the house is extended with a wooden pier. In this pier built in order not to damage the old trees in the garden, holes were drilled for the trees and allowed to pass through the floor covering. The wide and multi-glazed facades of the house allow natural light to enter the house all day long. A timeless decoration style is dominant in the house, where contemporary artists decorate the walls of their works. In line with this style, which can be described as eclectic and occasional avant-garde from time to time, there is a line with an atmosphere, spirit and character living in the house.
